52 weeks of happy 45/52
Hello again
Thank you all very much for your lovely comments on my previous post about my tiny wild strawberry. It is very sweet and I hope it will make a delightful Christmas present.
I found it hard to get back into work mode at the beginning of this week after having had half term off, but soon adjusted and found myself rather busy. I did manage to capture a few happy things and so here they are.
I completed my lacy crochet shawl with the gorgeous yarn I bought when we were in Barcelona in the Summer. I love the name of this yarn it's called "Greta and the Fibres" and has a picture of a singing sheep called Greta and her band the Fibres on the label. I just need to block it and then will show you how it turned out. I loved working with this yarn and the pattern was repetitive and easy to follow.
Some rather wet woodland walking has happened this week. My goodness has it rained! The thunder we heard this morning was immense, I loved it. It reminded me of South Africa and that's a good thing.
I also decided that I loved my giveaway tea towel from Gillian so much that I simply couldn't bare to use it to dry dishes and so, it naturally had to become a cushion. I love it, thanks so much once again Gillian.
A sign outside a shop made me smile. I write like that and thought that I might even make my Christmas cards like this. Simple and sweet this year.
Oh my goodness I almost forgot about the bread that Alice made on Saturday! It was delicious and so easy to make. I was amazed at her baking skill because I have never been able to bake bread successfully :o) We found this really easy recipe and had it with some homemade carrot and coriander soup.
Last, but never least I started to make my next Christmas present for my almost 2 year old niece. It's the lovely Flax from Tin Can Knits. I'm using Debbie Bliss Aran and it's a joy to knit with. Perfect for today's indoor crafting while the rain pours down.
Thank you for visiting. I'm sorry I haven't had much time to come back and say Hi, hopefully I can this weekend and here's wishing you a fabulous weekend wherever you are .
