52 weeks of Happy 51/52

Ok, so this has been a busy week like the rest of you I have been doing bits and bobs before the festivities begin. I have been working this past week and have found myself juggling allsorts. Fortunately I have Monday off to complete all that needs doing, I am working Christmas eve which I quite like to do, there is always a lovely atmosphere of good cheer at work and coming home in the dark to the Christmas tree and my family makes me happy.

So here are quite a few photos of my last week of little happy moments...

We eventually put our tree up last weekend when Alice was feeling so much better. It was really lovely looking at all the eclectic and meaningful, memory filled decorations we have bought and made over the years. We decided not to put tinsel on the tree this year, instead filled it with all our favourite decorations.

I found an old earing box and covered it with some music paper for my little crocheted strawberry for my friend Janie. I will tie a bow with the left over reindeer ribbon I have from making Alice's stocking.

I enjoyed seeing some local yarn bombing outside Hastings Art Forum last Sunday afternoon. Really cheered up the greyness of the afternoon.

I really enjoyed making little sparkly yarn bows for clips for Alice to give to her friends. The pattern was so easy and can be found on Slugs on the Refrigerator. Alice clipped them onto a card from last year that she cut up which I thought looked quite sweet.

Oh my goodness the best thing was seeing this rainbow on Thursday after the rain. Such beauty in such hope.

I also thought it was time to put my little homemade wreath on the door. I didn't have time to decorate it much this year, just some plastic holly and berries for 10p a pop in charity shops to make it look a little festive. The actually ring was made by a friend for me from her Wisteria which she was cutting back a few years ago. I love it.

Last but not least I wanted to wish you and all your family a very joyous Christmas wherever you are
Have  wonderful, magical day
